A poll carried out by IlmFeed has found that 9 out of 10 Twitter users don’t take British tabloid newspaper, The Sun seriously. If Twitter’s 320 million monthly users are taken into consideration, this means a staggering 288 million Twitter users don’t take The Sun seriously.

Toyris Miah, a campaigns manager for a British charity reacted to the poll saying,
I’m not at all surprised with the findings. I don’t know anyone who takes The Sun seriously and they call it a newspaper? I’m just glad that more people are starting to realise this.
Khuram Malik, a business strategist said he couldn’t understand why people continue to buy the paper,
What I can’t understand is why people continue to buy The Sun and believe anything it says. It’s journalism and use of sensationalist headlines to sell a paper on its way to extinction is simply trash.
Note: You are not supposed to take this story seriously nor should you take The Sun’s headline ‘1 in 5 Brit Muslims’ sympathy for jihadis‘ which published on the 23rd of November, seriously. Just how this poll is not representative of all Twitter users as it was based on a small and random sample, the poll commissioned by The Sun which was based on unrepresentative sampling and on obscure questions cannot be a true representation of the feelings of British Muslims.
