A man has been seen performing Tawaf around the Ka’bah on a self-balancing smart scooter which has been nicknamed a hoverboard. The self-balancing scooters are the latest craze and this pilgrim decided to take one to the Masjid Al Haram to perform Tawaf.
He is seen on the top floor of the temporary Tawaf which has been installed whilst the expansion of the Mataf takes place.

And..before you get ready to go and buy one to take to Hajj/Umrah here’s the bad news…according to some scholars I have asked, your Tawaf might not even count. Tawaf with wheelchairs and other transportation methods are only allowed for those who have a disability and are unable to walk (according to the Hanafi madhab).
