A Video of a Man Calling the Adhan at Alhambra Palace in Spain Has Gone Viral

A video showing a man calling the adhan at Alhambra palace in Grenada, Spain.

Watch video:

The Adhan was called by Mouaz Al-Nass who is of Syrian Origin. He told IlmFeed he felt the walls had missed ‘hearing the call to Allah’.

Muslims came to Spain in 711 and ruled for almost 800 years and the Alhambra palace was built by the Muslim Rulers of Granada.

In 1492, Granada came under Christian rule and Muslims were forced to convert to Christianity or risked facing torture. Many converted outwardly but practiced Islam secretly.

By 1501, no Muslims officially remained in Granada.
