Turkish President Talks Man Out of Jumping from a Bridge

This is the moment when Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan talked a suicidal man out of jumping from a bridge in Istanbul.

The president was returning from Friday prayers when he ordered his motorcade to stop so that he could talk to the man who was suffering from depression.

The man kissed the President’s hand (a mark of respect in Turkish culture) after being consoled by the president and thereafter was taken to safety.
