IlmFeed is teaming up with Charity Week and Islamic Relief to bring you a special poetry competition which focuses on the life and legacy of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

  1. Eligibility
  • Employees of IlmFeed, Islamic Relief, or anyone else connected in any way with the prize draw e.g. helping to set up the prize draw shall not be permitted to enter the draw selection.
  1. Entry requirements
  • We are looking for poems which celebrate the life and legacy of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) – the most influential man in history.
  • The poem must be written in English.
  • The poem must be original and written by the entrant without help from others.
  • IlmFeed and Islamic Relief UK reserves the right to exclude any poem(s) that they believe is not the work of the entrant.
  • Poems that have won a prize(s) in previous competitions, or featured in a regional or national campaign, are not allowed.
  • All entries must be the work of the individual submitting them, and must not infringe the rights of third parties including copyright, trade mark, trade secrets, privacy, publicity, personal or proprietary rights.
  1. Submission
  • Multiple entries are allowed, unlimited number of poems per participant.
  • Entries must be labelled with the name and age (or age category) of the author. When submitting multiple poems, each individual poem must contain this information.
  • Entries must be made via social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram) using the hashtag #IlmFeedCW2020 or via email to competition@ilmfeed.com
  • There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter the draw selection.
  • The competition is open from 16:00 on 27/10/2020 until 23.59 on 13/11/2020
  • The entry process will remain open for two (2) hours after this time to allow for transmission of entries made close to the deadline.
  • Any incomplete or late entry will be deemed ineligible.
  • IlmFeed’s and Islamic Relief’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  1. Judging
  • The poems will be judged in categories defined by the age of the entrants. The age categories are:
    • Aged 10 and under
    • Aged 11 to 17
    • Aged 18 and over
  • There will be an independent judging panel made up of judges from:
    • IlmFeed
    • Islamic Relief UK
    • Expert guest judges
  • The judges will select a winner for each age category. The 3 winning poems will be uploaded onto IlmFeed’s Instagram account for a 48 hour public vote. See Point 5 for dates.
  • The judges’ decision(s) are final
  • We are unable to enter into correspondence with unsuccessful entrants
  1. Key Dates
  • Below are the key dates in
    • Competition is open from 16:00 on 27/10/2020 until 23.59 on 13/11/2020
    • Judging will take place on 16/11/2020 where the 12 finalists will be shortlisted
    • The 48-hour online vote will take place on IlmFeed’s Instagram after the 3 winners have been selected.
    • The winner will be announced on IlmFeed’s social media channels
    • The prize will be delivered by 31/12/2020
  1. Prizes
  • The main prize will be an IPad. Each age category winner will also receive a Quran Cube.
  • No cash alternative to the prize will be offered. The prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
  • If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize with 5 days of being contacted, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.
  • IlmFeed, Islamic Relief and Charity Week is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.
  1. Conditions of Use
  • The winner agrees to the use of his/her name, image and/or poem in any publicity material. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current UK Data Protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.
  • Entrants retain full copyright over their poetry. However, by submitting poems to the competition, you are agreeing to grant IlmFeed, Islamic Relief and Charity Week a perpetual royalty-free license to use those poems in any of their publications, on the website and/or any promotional material. Where appropriate, reasonable efforts will be made to credit the writer of the poem, though this may not always be possible.
  • The winners may be required to take part in publicity and provide PR quotes for local, national and/or international medi.a
  1. General
  • By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  • Entry into the prize draw will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.
  • The prize draw and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
  • IlmFeed and Islamic Relief reserves the right to cancel or amend the prize draw and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of IlmFeed’s and Islamic Relief’s control.
  • Any changes to the prize draw will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by IlmFeed.
