Powerful Awareness Video Encourages Muslims to Report Islamophobic Attacks

MEND (Muslim Engagement & Development) have released a powerful awareness video in order to encourage victims to report Islamophobic attacks. According to MEND, a ‘not for profit company working towards enhancing the active engagement of British Muslim communities in the fields of politics and the media’, Islamophobia is heavily under-reported and anti-Muslim Hate crime is increasing in the UK.

The video shows a Muslim woman wearing a Hijab having an alcoholic drink poured over her, a Muslim man being spat on and an elderly woman having a brick thrown through her window.

If you have been a victim of such a hate crime call the emergency services on 999 or call 101 for non-emergencies. You can also find other ways to report hate crime here.
